Ancient and Living Mayan Culture Tour - Belize

Hamanasi Adventure and Dive Resort has remarkable excursions - one of them being the Ancient and Living Mayan Culture Tour. We started the day exploring Mayan ruins with our wonderful guide, Antonio. After our tour we visited The Living Maya Experience where we were able to play their instruments and learn about many of their tools used in the food farming, harvesting, and cooking processes - including getting to grind our own masa and cacao! We made tortillas from scratch and they were used in the wonderful meal that was made for us. After our meal, we visited another location where we met basket weavers. We had NO IDEA how much work went into this process. We were absolutely in awe!
